Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Resuleet collects, holds, uses and discloses personal information through resuleet.com, the Resuleet dashboard and related browser-extension features.

Resuleet is currently a private-beta service based in Australia. We aim to manage personal information transparently and in line with applicable Australian privacy and electronic-marketing laws.

The information we collect depends on which Resuleet features you use. It may include:

• Launch-list details: your email address, audience type, consent status, email-verification status and relevant signup or confirmation times.
• Product feedback: feature ideas you choose to submit and the time they were received.
• Contributor interests: your name, email address, chosen contribution area, short note, consent and submission status when you volunteer to help with the beta.
• Account and profile details: your name, email address, preferred roles, work history, skills, achievements and resume profiles.
• Application information: job descriptions, source URLs, company and role details, application status, notes, deadlines, contacts and follow-up drafts.
• Job recommendations: saved search criteria, discovered public listings, profile-backed match ratings, recommended resume tracks and whether you saved or dismissed a recommendation.
• Documents: resume content, cover letters, selection-criteria answers and other material you ask Resuleet to generate or store.
• Account and billing records: account identifiers, plan, usage allowances, subscription status and Stripe customer or subscription identifiers. Resuleet does not store complete payment-card numbers.
• Referral information: your referral code, whether your account was created through a member invitation, referral status and relevant signup or qualification times. Referral activity shown to members does not reveal another member's name or email address.
• Extension imports: when you choose to use Resuleet Copilot, job information visible on the current browser tab, such as source URL, page title, job title, company, location, salary, work mode, closing date, job description, visible application questions, extraction confidence and requirement analysis.
• Technical and usage information: browser and device information, approximate location derived from network information, page views, performance data and error diagnostics.

Resuleet does not need sensitive information such as health details, identity documents, financial account information or government identifiers for normal use. Please avoid including unnecessary sensitive information in resumes, notes or prompts.

We usually collect information directly from you when you join the beta list, request a feature, complete your profile, add a job, import a job page or generate an application pack. Technical information may be collected automatically when you use the service.

When you open Resuleet Copilot on a job page, the extension reads the visible job details. If you connect it to your Resuleet account, it sends those job details to Resuleet to calculate a profile-backed role rating before import. When you choose to import, Resuleet creates a review-required draft, populates your tracker fields and extracts requirements. The extension is not required to use Resuleet; you can also paste a job URL or job description directly into the web app.

If you enable daily job discovery, Resuleet sends limited search terms and a location to an authorised job-listing provider, stores matching public listings in your private recommendation inbox, and ranks them against evidence in your candidate profile. Your resume and work-history content are not sent to the job-listing provider. Recommendations are never added to your application tracker or submitted to an employer without your action.

Resuleet Copilot does not bulk scrape job boards, bypass access controls, read unrelated pages, submit applications, send messages to employers or apply for roles on your behalf.

We use personal information to:

• provide, secure and improve Resuleet;
• review feature requests and plan product improvements;
• review contributor expressions of interest and contact suitable volunteers about a clearly scoped contribution;
• store your profile and application pipeline;
• analyse job requirements and prepare user-reviewed drafts;
• send beta access, service and product communications you requested;
• attribute member invitations, measure referral participation and prevent referral misuse;
• respond to support, access, correction, deletion and complaint requests;
• detect misuse, diagnose problems and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell or rent personal information.

Resuleet Copilot is designed for current-page job capture. When you click the extension on a supported job page, it attempts to read visible job-related fields from that page and transfer them to Resuleet as a draft for your review.

If you connect Copilot to your account, the extension stores a revocable connection token in Chrome for up to 30 days. Resuleet stores only a cryptographic hash of that token and returns the role score and explanation without sending your resume or candidate profile to the extension.

The extension may temporarily store a one-time import handoff in your browser so the job draft can open in the Resuleet web app. That handoff expires quickly and is removed after it is used. Saved job details are stored in your Resuleet account only after you review and save the job.

The extension should not be used to import information you are not authorised to access. If a site blocks automated access, requires CAPTCHA, or does not show a complete job description, use manual paste instead.

When AI writing is enabled and you request a draft, Resuleet may send the selected candidate profile, relevant job description, evidence mapping and drafting instructions to an AI service provider. We limit the information sent to what is needed for the requested output.

AI output can be inaccurate. Resuleet keeps generated content as an editable draft and does not submit applications automatically. You are responsible for checking every statement before using it.

If you request a job search or enable scheduled discovery, Resuleet uses your saved role criteria and career profile to rank public job listings. When configured, job-search providers and OpenAI web search receive role-title and location search terms, not your full resume, name or account email. Avoid entering personal information in those search fields.

Public listings may be cached across users. Your recommendations and search history remain associated with your private account. Discovery does not submit applications. You can turn scheduled searches off in your tracker.

Job-match email alerts are separately opt-in and use your verified account email through our email provider. Every alert includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops these alerts without deleting your saved jobs.

We may disclose information to providers that help operate Resuleet, including database and authentication hosting, website hosting, analytics, email delivery, security, support and AI generation providers.

Current or planned providers include Supabase, Vercel, Stripe, Resend, Adzuna and OpenAI. A provider receives only the information reasonably needed for its role and handles it under its own privacy and security terms.

These providers may process information in Australia, the United States and other countries where they or their subprocessors operate. Privacy protections in those locations may differ from Australian law.

We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business sale or restructure subject to appropriate safeguards.

Resuleet uses access controls, encrypted connections, restricted service credentials and row-level database security where appropriate. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

We retain information only for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes and maintain security. Launch-list details are retained until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Account and application information may be removed after account deletion, subject to limited backup, fraud-prevention and legal-retention requirements.

You may ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you, withdraw marketing consent, request deletion, or ask how your information has been handled.

Email privacy@resuleet.com with enough detail for us to identify the relevant record. We may need to verify your identity before acting. We will respond within a reasonable period and explain if applicable law permits or requires us to refuse part of a request.

We send launch or marketing messages only where we have consent or another lawful basis. Messages will identify Resuleet and include a straightforward way to unsubscribe. You can also withdraw consent by emailing us.

Service messages about security, account changes or requested transactions are not marketing messages and may still be sent when necessary.
